There was a time when our wee dream seemed like something that was going to happen in the distant future. There wasn’t anything but a name and a shell of a unit. At long last we are on the cusp of throwing open the doors and welcoming Glasgow and its visitors to our humble establishment. Almost…
- Our stock, patiently waiting for someone to come and take them home.
We were due to open tomorrow (Monday 23rd of May) but have been held up yet again by something that we are unable to control ourselves. Par for the course – if we had only to rely on ourselves we would have been open months ago. It is now likely that we’ll be opening on Tuesday or later, but we’re getting there and that’s the main thing. The shelves are heaving, the cigar humidor has been stocked with Cuba’s finest and we’re all raring to go. Just one more hurdle.
The counter, or is it the bar?
We’ve had two successful evenings, one for trade and press and another for our families and close friends. Both nights were hugely enjoyable and we’ve had many promises of a return visit to make a purchase. Roll on opening day!
Looks great! Should be up in Glasgow in the next week or 2, I’ll pop in for a wee bottle or 2.
