Description
The brain child of Balvenie’s apprentice malt master Kelsey McKechnie, this expression was aged first in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in specially sourced virgin oak barrels from Kentucky, toasted first in the USA and then again on their arrival in Dufftown, with the aim of bringing the fruitiness of the spirit to the fore and emphasising the vanilla flavours from the fresh wood.
